Source diagnosis
Old tapes fail in recognizable ways: tracking tears, color drift, dropouts, interlacing, low-light noise, and soft faces. The sample review marks the problems first, then decides how far restoration can honestly go.
What we look for
A family tape can look bad for five different reasons at once. We separate the defects so the restoration does not over-sharpen faces, crush color, or invent fake texture.
Start here
The first step is a free technical review. We diagnose the source, restore a representative section, and quote the full job before a full restoration is scheduled.
Restoration services
Every project starts with a technical read of resolution, interlace, compression, motion, flicker, noise, and whether a 4K-style upscale will help or hurt.
FrameRevive helps families make difficult old video sources cleaner, steadier, and easier to watch without losing the memory.
Upscale is useful only when the source can support it. We test the footage before choosing Full HD, 2K, or 4K.
VHS restoration is about control: remove tape problems without erasing the character of the original recording.
Interlaced footage needs to be rebuilt before modern restoration. Otherwise, combing artifacts become sharper and more visible.
Noise cleanup should calm the image while preserving real faces, fabric, background detail, and the original feel of the footage.
Wedding footage deserves a careful pass because faces, ceremony moments, speeches, and motion all matter.
Family videos do not need to look like a movie. They need to become easier to watch while keeping the memory honest.
Upscale policy
Some family archives can support a beautiful HD or 4K delivery. Others look more honest at 1080p with cleaner motion and better color. The sample tells us which is true.
