Start before the package

The first step is a short written review, not an unexpected shipment. Tell us how many tapes you have, the labels or formats you can identify, the approximate runtime, and whether a digital transfer already exists. We then confirm whether FrameRevive is the right fit and explain the transfer or shipping path before any physical media moves.

Transfer and restoration are different jobs

A tape transfer converts the recording into a digital file. Restoration improves that file by repairing motion, noise, flicker, color, stability, and delivery quality. Some projects arrive with a good transfer and only need restoration. Others need a new capture before meaningful cleanup can begin. The review separates those costs and avoids paying to upscale a weak compressed copy.

Handling expectations

Physical media is accepted only after written confirmation. We document the expected tape count and format, agree on return shipping, and keep the digital restoration workflow tied to the private project record. Never send the only copy of irreplaceable media until the handling plan is confirmed.
