Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of FrameRevive, including our website, client portal, project intake, file upload, sample review, quote approval, restoration work, and delivery of restored files. By using the service, creating an account, submitting a project brief, uploading media, approving a quote, or otherwise asking us to work on your footage, you agree to these Terms.
If you are submitting footage for someone else, you confirm that you have authority to do so and to accept these Terms on their behalf. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not upload media or request restoration work.
What FrameRevive does
FrameRevive provides hands-on video restoration for family archives, VHS transfers, camcorder files, wedding tapes, home movies, and similar customer-owned media. Work may include source diagnosis, deinterlacing, noise reduction, flicker cleanup, stabilization, color repair, compression artifact reduction, audio review when scoped, careful upscale, export preparation, and delivery of restored viewing files or archive masters.
We are a restoration service, not a tape digitization lab, long-term storage provider, forensic analysis provider, identity verification service, legal evidence service, or broadcaster. If your footage still exists only on a physical tape or film reel, the quality of the transfer or scan you provide will strongly affect what restoration can achieve.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or submit a paid project. You agree to provide accurate contact and project information, keep your login credentials private, and notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may use your account email, project dashboard, or other contact details you provide to send project notices, upload instructions, sample review notes, quotes, delivery information, support messages, security notices, and policy updates.
Project intake and sample review
Most projects begin with a project brief and a representative sample review. The sample review is meant to diagnose the source, show a realistic restoration direction, identify likely limits, and prepare a quote for the full project. A sample result is representative, not a guarantee that every second of the full video will improve in the same way.
Digital uploads are the fastest intake path. If your source exists only as VHS, Hi8, MiniDV, DVD, film, or another physical format, we may discuss transfer, shipping, local handoff, or a third-party digitization path before any media is sent or restored.
Any public price, package, range, or estimator on the site is informational only. A full restoration quote is based on the actual source condition, runtime, number of scene types, defects, audio needs, delivery format, turnaround request, and any special instructions you provide.
Quotes, approval, and payment
We will not start paid full-restoration work until the scope and quote are approved through the process we provide. A quote may describe target resolution, delivery files, turnaround, known source limits, revision expectations, and any special handling notes.
Community Care Discount may be offered for eligible U.S. customers, including seniors 65+, veterans, active duty military, first responders, teachers, and public service retirees. Discounts are applied only to approved restoration quotes, may be capped or changed, and are not guaranteed for every project. Please do not upload sensitive ID documents unless we specifically ask for light verification through a secure process.
If payment is required, payment instructions or a payment link will be provided after quote approval. Payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not control that provider's systems, terms, or payment decisions. You agree to provide accurate billing information and to pay approved charges for the project you authorize.
Unless a quote says otherwise, a quote may expire if it is not approved within the stated period or if the source, runtime, project scope, or requested delivery changes materially.
Cancellations, refunds, and revisions
You may decline a quote after the sample review with no obligation to proceed with the full restoration. Once paid work has started, cancellation and refund options depend on how much custom work has already been performed, the payment method, and any written terms included with the quote.
Because restoration is custom work on your specific media, completed work is generally not refundable merely because the source has unavoidable limits that were disclosed or reasonably visible in the sample process. If we make a delivery mistake, upload the wrong file, miss a scoped export format, or create a technical issue within our control, we will make a reasonable effort to correct it.
Minor revision requests may be included when stated in the quote. Examples include small brightness adjustments, crop changes, alternate export settings, or audio level tweaks. New creative edits, additional scenes, new source files, major style changes, or requests outside the approved scope may require a new quote.
Your responsibilities
- You confirm that you own the media you submit or have all rights, permissions, and consents needed for us to process it.
- You confirm that your upload does not violate any privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, contractual, court order, or other third-party rights.
- You will not submit illegal, abusive, exploitative, non-consensual, infringing, or otherwise prohibited content.
- You will provide the best available source file or accurate information about the source, including whether it came from VHS, Hi8, MiniDV, DVD, a phone export, a transfer service, or another copy.
- You will keep your own backup of original files and delivered files. FrameRevive is not a long-term archive, backup, or custody service.
- You will review samples, quotes, and delivery files promptly and tell us about any issue within the review period stated in your quote or delivery message.
Customer media and limited license
You keep ownership of the media you submit and the underlying rights you already have. By uploading media or providing project materials, you grant FrameRevive a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process, modify, create derivative restoration outputs from, review, transmit, and deliver those materials solely to provide the requested service, operate the project workflow, provide support, prevent abuse, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
This license includes permission for our operators and necessary service providers to access the media as needed for your project. It does not give us permission to publish your private family media in marketing, case studies, articles, ads, social media, or public demos unless you give explicit approval for that use.
We do not need to use private customer uploads to train public-facing models. If a future workflow would require a materially different use of customer media, we would ask for separate permission where required.
Privacy, security, and file handling
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we handle account and project data. Customer footage can include sensitive family information, faces, addresses, school names, children, memorial content, and private events, so you should only upload media you are comfortable submitting for restoration.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect uploads and project data, but no online service can promise perfect security. You are responsible for keeping backup copies because uploads and restored files may be deleted, archived, or become unavailable after the project support period.
Unless a quote or written agreement says otherwise, uploaded source files and restored outputs are retained only as long as reasonably needed to complete the project, provide downloads, handle support, address disputes, comply with law, and maintain security. You may request deletion by contacting us, subject to legal, security, operational, or dispute-resolution needs.
Restoration limits and honest results
Restoration can often improve watchability by reducing noise, flicker, color drift, interlacing artifacts, compression damage, instability, and similar defects. It cannot recreate detail that was never captured, guarantee identification of people or objects, repair every missing frame, eliminate all artifacts, or make a severely degraded source look like modern camera footage.
We may recommend a lower or more conservative delivery target, such as 720p or 1080p, if a higher-resolution upscale would create fake detail, unstable faces, shimmering edges, or an artificial look. You understand that older family footage often has unavoidable limits and that the best result is the version that looks natural and stable for your source.
Examples, case studies, demos, before-and-after visuals, articles, and sample clips are provided to explain restoration logic. They are not guarantees that your footage will achieve the same result.
Delivery files and review period
Delivery may include one or more restored files, such as an MP4 sharing file, a higher-bitrate master, a ProRes file, an image sequence, or other formats described in the quote. Unless a quote states otherwise, delivery is digital only.
You should download and back up your delivery files promptly. If something appears missing, corrupted, incorrectly exported, or inconsistent with the approved scope, contact us as soon as possible so we can review it while the project files are still available.
Prohibited content and refusal of service
You may not upload or request work on content that violates these Terms, our Rights Policy, or our Prohibited Content Policy. This includes illegal content, non-consensual intimate imagery, child sexual abuse material, harassment, abuse, content you do not have rights to submit, or material that creates an unreasonable legal, safety, privacy, or operational risk.
We may refuse a project, suspend access, remove or disable content, cancel a quote, stop work, preserve information, or report material to appropriate authorities when we believe content violates these Terms, applicable law, platform safety requirements, or the rights or safety of others.
Copyright concerns
Do not submit movies, television broadcasts, sports broadcasts, paid courses, commercial music videos, or other third-party copyrighted material unless you have permission to do so. If you believe content submitted to FrameRevive infringes your rights, contact us at info@framerevive.com with enough information for us to identify the material and evaluate the request.
We may remove or disable access to material that appears infringing and may terminate or refuse service to users who repeatedly submit infringing material. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in third-party content.
Third-party services
FrameRevive may rely on third-party services for hosting, storage, authentication, email, analytics, payment processing, security, and project operations. These providers may process information only as needed for the service they provide to us, subject to their own terms and policies where applicable.
The site or project workflow may link to third-party sites or tools. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, policies, or decisions.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service, website, portal, sample reviews, restored files, articles, estimates, and other materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, and any guarantee that restoration will meet every expectation.
No article, sample note, case study, estimate, or support message is legal, archival, forensic, insurance, tax, or professional preservation advice. You are responsible for deciding whether our delivery files are suitable for your intended use.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FrameRevive will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, replacement services, or emotional distress, even if we have been advised that such damages are possible.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project, the website, the portal, or the service is limited to the amount you paid to FrameRevive for the specific project giving rise to the claim. If you paid nothing for the project, our total liability is limited to 100 U.S. dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits, so some of the above limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FrameRevive and its operators, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your media, your project instructions, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your infringement or alleged infringement of rights of another person or entity.
Changes to the service or Terms
We may update the service, change features, pause parts of the workflow, add or remove supported formats, change package descriptions, or update these Terms as FrameRevive evolves. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Material changes will apply prospectively unless required by law or necessary for security, abuse prevention, or compliance.
Disputes and applicable rights
If a dispute arises, contact us first at info@framerevive.com so we can try to resolve it informally. To the extent allowed by law, these Terms and the FrameRevive service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. These Terms do not limit any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
Any claim must be brought within the time allowed by applicable law. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect.
